National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARD),an apex institution in the field of agriculture and rural development in India is celebrating its 31st foundation day on 12 July 2012 in all over the country. Its role in rural development in the country is immense as it not only provides financial support to institutions working in rural India by way of refinance but also contribute to rural prosperity by way developmental interventions, imparting vocational skills to rural artisans, help many NGOs, women Shelf Help Groups.
A major restructuring exercise is going on in NABARD with a view to provide a lean and thin organization with specialist manpower, well trained to provide its valuable services to the rural India. HR policies are revisited and new areas of work is being identified. In coming years, this will lead to new ventures and more inclusive growth in rural India.
